Over the next few years, our research associates have a particular interest in exploring the prospect of ‘folk expressions’ (song, dance, theatre, etc.) as modes of cultural persuasion, to invoke ecological consciousness at a mass level. Researching contemporary opportunities of their confluence with digital mediation vehicles to achieve specifically framed cultural persuadables that are relevant amongst urban audiences – it has been my goal for long to develop participatory community-based models of ecocultural mentoring that may serve as innovative counter measures against the increasing environmental problems of the world.
